And, sometimes it’s really not your fault. You have bend all over backwards to achieve your goals but you couldn’t. It’s your right to taste victory but you couldn’t. And, sometimes it’s really not your fault. You have bend all over backwards to achieve your goals but you couldn’t. It’s your right to taste victory but you couldn’t. It’s your time to live the life which you had always planned and you couldn’t. Eventually, you get bogged down, your spirit is dampened and no person or thing in this world can bolster that belief in yourself.

You start comparing yourself to others. You start seeing yourself as failure seeing others accomplishments. But darling, you forgot one thing. They haven’t undergone those restless nights when you were jilted in love and still managed to get hold of yourself. They haven’t gone through that guilt which you faced owing to sheer misfortune of your life. They haven’t made all those efforts in spite of seeing failure relentlessly. They haven’t held their head high when everyone stopped believing in them. They got everything with meagre efforts owing to other lucrative factors and you didn’t.

So yes, the grapes are sour and probably, you have nothing currently and they have everything. You are trying hard, toiling sweat blood and tears. Yet, nothing. Tired of waiting? Tired of trying? But don’t you forget sweetheart, it’s your journey and not theirs. The way you will turn at the end of this journey is gonna be completely different than theirs. So how does it really matter? Well, if it’s only about material achievements, then just remember when a bird is alive, it eat ants and when a bird is dead, ants eat dt bird. Your day gonna come. Just have patience when you had it so long💕

And, if you falter in believing in yourself, just remember there is some one else also in the same boat. Now relax a bit and smile 💓😊

How to make dreams come true?

Do you remember how you used to bounce fervently saying, I wanna become an astronaut or an actor or president of the country or just a prince or a princess? And eventually, you got convinced that sky is merely blue, you can travel only after you get settled, stories don’t always have happy endings, precious things in life demands a long wait and probably you will never wear a tiara in your entire life.

Yes, we succumb to the world’s greatest lie. “You cant control your life. Your circumstances rule them and your destiny decides everything for you”. And, so we mandatory finish a novel which we started, trudge a precarious relationship, abide by responsibilities before happiness and forget most important thing, “Our Dreams”. Not that I am of opinion to abandon everything all at once. But, why not quit eventually. All those things and people which soak away your happiness.

While, I was at Kashmir, everyday, this man turned fervently at Dal Lake even at -4 degree temperature. That one dream which compels him to endure this harsh reality, one dream which keeps him alive, one dream for which he will quit everything is a visit to Mecca.

So, dream my friend. Dream. See that dream. Live that dream. And guess what, you may never know where you can find on the way 😊

And, Jesus was never born on 25th December!

Be it twinkling lights, streets cladded with snow, air imbued with aroma of freshly baked cookies and cakes, Christmas trees adorned with cute little things, stockings hanging in living rooms, those melodious choirs or turkey dinner with family, gifts secretly keep under Xmas tree and shouts of Merry Christmas; honestly, there is not one single thing you can deny to love about Christmas and Winters.  And most importantly, it’s the time of the year where you have to dress up to nines. Literally, fashion can be seen bubbling in every nook and corner of the town. But before essaying outfit ideas for the occasion, let’s talk about the festival itself.

All this time, I celebrated Christmas on 25th December owing the day to be as Jesus’s birthday. But, after a careful analysis lately, I landed at a mind boggling fact; Jesus was never born on this day. Sounds Greek to you? Honestly, the exact birth of Jesus is not mentioned in the Bible. Few claimed it to be the month of spring as shepherds tending flock of sheep heard the news of this angel’s birth. Had it been winter, sheeps would have been corralled. Another reference of the appearance of “Star of Bethlehem” augurs the season of autumn or spring. Also, Mary and Joseph visit to Bethlehem would have not been on the spur of the moment. Few traces signify it to be the time of “Jewish festival of Passover” in spring.

So, why does the celebration of Christmas on 25th December prevails ?

It is deemed that the church officials wanted the date to coincide with the existing pagan festivals such as Saturnalia, an ancient Roman festival in honor of the god Saturn, Mithraism, worship of the Persian God of Light, WInter Solstice and few others. As Christianity was slowly embraced back then owing to predisposition towards paganism, 25th December was deemed to be the birth of Jesus. Well, in some parts of the world, such as Ethiopia, Russia, Serbia, Greece and few others, Christmas is not celebrated on 25th December but 6th January. Owing to the discrepancies between Gregorian calendar and Julian Calendar, the traditions differ as well.

P.S:  25th December  is not only Christmas but also marks the celebration of various cultures.

Anyways, Merry Christmas Guys. Happy Holidays !

That Simple Girl!

She is a simple girl, you see,
With no voluminous boobs
Or great booty to see.
Her face seemed like darkened foliage from summer kiss,
Those palms seem ruthlessly rough enduring hardships,
Her black thick hair tumbled back,
But, they dont smell of jasmine or lilly.
Who will look at such a girl?
Who is always seen in salwaar kameez.

But, she is a girl like smell after rain,
A ray of new life,
Who will promise to swallow your pain.
She is living nightmares more than dreams,
Yet, she will love you insanely and selflessly,
Whispering those gleeful songs of life which she had never seen,
Gifting you all the happiness which she always wondered herself to see.

She will keep her dreams aside to fulfill yours,
Seeing your achievements is a blessing for her, she always thought,
Did you ever care to see those hidden layers of her heart?
Which time and again were stripped badly.

Bcuz, she isn’t a girl, your eyes will attract,
Or your heart will chase around,
Your heart just want pretty things you see,
Who doesn’t even know what ‘BEAUTIFUL’ really means!!
